In addition to the local GE Service Engineer who lives in the Rio Grande Valley, Valley Nuclear employs two degreed engineers who have extensive training and experience in mechanical and electrical applications. It's their job to maintain Valley Nuclear's cyclotron and all its ancillary equipment; and if that weren't enough, Valley Nuclear has a back-up source of PET FDG just in case of mechanical failure.
