The Rio Grande Valley is susceptible to tropical weather. If a storm should approach, we will monitor the progress and should it increase in strength, or appear to advance towards our area, we will do everything possible beforehand to meet your nuclear medicine needs. If the situation should become worse, a V.N.I. representative will call you, probably 24-36 hours before landfall, to determine if you require emergency back-up material. The dangers of the storm should pass within a few hours; but until then, please understand the pharmacy might be closed, telephone service might be down, and the pharmacist on call might not be able to reach you. Once the storm has subsided, and it is safe to venture out as determined by state, county and city officials, we will make every effort to resume normal business hours.
It is strongly advised our customers provide a back-up cellular telephone number. After a hurricane, the land lines may be down, and cell phones may be our only means of contact. The pharmacy back-up phone numbers are listed at the top of this page.
